Take a peek at your bum… is there cellulite? Yeah, us too… Wouldn’t it be great to minimize it without surgery? Well, now you can. There is a new injectable in town and it’s called QWO®. Do you know what is even better? We are one of the first aesthetic providers in the Triangle to offer it.
Our industry has never offered an injectable product specifically for cellulite before and we are honored to be selected as the first medical spa in the Triangle to provide QWO®!
What is QWO®?
QWO® is the first and only FDA-approved injectable for moderate to severe cellulite in the buttocks of adult women (ages 18-78). It is a non-surgical treatment that is clinically proven to reduce moderate to severe cellulite permanently. Injections take a little as 15 minutes. Visible results may be seen in three months.
At Azura Skin Care Center, we will put together the right treatment plan for you. Each treatment visit may include up to two treatment areas, which is about 24 dimples. QWO® injections will be given 21 days apart over three treatment visits. Pricing varies based on the amount of product appropriate for your individual treatment plan.
Is QWO® Right for You?
QWO® is used to treat moderate to severe cellulite and cellulite dimpling on the buttocks of women. QWO® does not treat skin laxity.
What is cellulite?
Cellulite is not your fault, it is just a part of women’s biology. As a matter of fact, over 90% of women have cellulite. Cellulite is not fat, it is not caused by what, or how much you eat, or by how little or how often you exercise. Over time, your skin thins and fat cells enlarge and push against the skin. Then, the fibrous bands (which provide structural support) under the skin thicken and cause tension and the signature dimpling on your butt.
What is skin laxity?
Skin laxity occurs when the skin loses its firmness and structure and becomes loose and starts to sag. Primarily, skin laxity occurs due to aging. Though QWO® does not help with skin laxity, we offer a treatment that does! Learn more about treatments that Dr. Angelo Tellis offers at Azura Skin Care center including body shaping and contouring.
How Does QWO® Work?
QWO® destroys the fibrous septae that cause skin dimpling. Essentially, enzymes break down old collagen particles where the cellulite dimples are while helping make new ones, resulting in a smoother skin surface. We typically recommend three sessions, three weeks (or 21 days) apart for the best results.
What Are the Most Common Side Effects of QWO®?
The most common side effects of QWO® are injection site bruising, pain, areas of hardness, itching, redness, discoloration, swelling, and warmth in the treatment area.
How Long Do the Results Last?
A QWO® treatment can produce permanent results with a combination of optimal diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes.
