Dermaplaning is a comfortable, superficial exfoliating treatment that is easily performed in the office by an experienced aesthetician or provider. A blade and light touch is used to gently exfoliate the outermost surface of the skin while also removing fine facial hair commonly known as “peach fuzz”. This office procedure will provide the feel of smoother skin immediately, give you a fresh skin appearance, and you will notice makeup application will appear more natural.
The normal skin growth cycle is around 30 days and since dermaplaning removes about two to three weeks-worth of dead skin cells, we recommend rescheduling about four weeks between treatments. Dermaplaning can also be performed prior to chemical peels to further prep the skin and enhance results.
