Jennie Kowaleski, PA-C
Jennie attended Seton Hill University in Pennsylvania where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Physician Assistant studies. She later completed her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, Education, and Leadership from A.T. Still University. Jennie began her PA-C career in Urgent Care and internal medicine, later developing a passion for aesthetics. She began working in skin care and aesthetics in 2010 and has obtained advanced training and certifications in various medical and aesthetic procedures from renowned regional and global leaders in the industry. She has become proficient in facial contouring and enhancement with various injectables such as botulism toxins, dermal fillers, and Kybella. She has vast knowledge and multiple certifications in the use of state-of-the-art lasers. She is a private trainer, teaching other healthcare professionals injectable techniques and laser specialties.
Jennie’s philosophy of skin care and aesthetics is simple. She wants to help you achieve natural, beautiful results working at all levels of comfort and ability. She will listen to your goals and partner with you to develop a plan to suit your expectations.
Outside of the work she loves, she is married to an eighth-grade science teacher, has two children, and has a rescue pup named Boomer. She serves as the Board President of Shield North Carolina, a local non-profit that combats human trafficking. She can also be found camping with her family, out on her paddle board, or hiking.
Dr. Angelo Tellis, Medical Director
Dr. Tellis joined the Azura team and began to consult patients and perform cosmetic procedures in January 2017. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and completed his residency training at the Medical College of Virginia. He has double-board certification both in Pain Management and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He attended Marshall University for his undergraduate degree on a full academic scholarship as a member of The Society of Yeager Scholars. He had a rigorous and diverse educational experience, including studies abroad at Oxford University (Christ Church Campus) and an international college in Cannes, France. He was able to graduate summa cum laude with a major in psychology and pre-medical curriculum.
Josh, Spa Director
Josh joined Azura in January 2024 as the Spa Director. A North Carolina native and proud Appalachian State University graduate, Josh brings over 25 years of experience in human resources, recruitment, benefits administration, and leadership. Transitioning to managing a medical spa has been the most rewarding chapter of his career. His dedication to providing the best patient experience possible is his daily motivation.
The family-oriented environment at Azura makes it a true pleasure for him to come to work each day. Josh’s philosophy is simple—everyone is a client, including the staff at Azura Skin Care Center. He believes that when staff members are motivated, valued, and given professional learning opportunities, everyone wins. He also takes great joy in hearing the positive feedback from patients about their results.
Outside of his fulfilling days at Azura, Josh enjoys international travel with his wife of 21 years, Nicole. They are the proud parents of a spoiled rotten terrier named Oscar.
Jessie Schaar, PA-C
Jessie is a board-certified Physician Assistant since 2013. Originally from New York, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Richmond with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. She received her Master in Science and Health Sciences and PA degree at George Washington University (a top-five nationwide program).
Jessie started her career in Obstetrics and Gynecology but moved to California, where she received formal training in aesthetic medicine from some of the best injectors in the world. She has years of experience with numerous forms of energy-based technologies as well as injectables (neuromodulators, dermal fillers, and Kybella). She understands how to incorporate multiple modalities to peak patient outcomes while maximizing comfort. Her main goals are to thoroughly educate her patients, share the best way to highlight and enhance their natural beauty, and then work together to create a plan that best fits the individual and their desires. Her approach has helped her form many lasting relationships with her patients (which she thinks is the best part of her job).
Jessie constantly learns and seeks ways to advance her aesthetic knowledge and technical skills. She knows the cosmetic industry is growing and plans on growing with it.
She loves spending time with her husband, kids, and Maltipoo in her free time. She also loves walking on pretty trails and plans on becoming a Zumba instructor.
Chelsea Ferguson, PA-C
Born and raised in North Carolina and a true Tar Heel at heart, Chelsea Ferguson, PA-C, has a rich background in healthcare, education, and a commitment to helping others feel their best. Chelsea’s educational journey began at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise & Sports Science. After graduation, she entered the field of Orthopedics as a Certified Athletic Trainer, where she served patients with dedication and expertise for seven years.
With a desire to help patients in a more significant way, Chelsea pursued a graduate degree. She completed her Master of Physician Assistant Practice at Campbell University in 2019, marking a significant milestone in her professional journey. After graduation, Chelsea returned to Orthopedics as a Physician Assistant, developing a strong foundation in medical diagnoses and procedures, with a heavy emphasis on therapeutic injections.
During her time in PA School, Chelsea selected a clinical rotation in medical aesthetics at Azura Skin Care Center, which was a pivotal experience that opened a new professional path for her. This rotation unveiled her passion for aesthetics and its profound impact on individuals’ confidence and self-perception. Chelsea is thrilled to transition her well-honed procedural skills and love for helping others to the field of medical aesthetics, an area she feels strongly aligns with her professional beliefs.
Chelsea’s approach to work is detail-oriented, and she values teamwork to achieve the best possible results for her patients. She is deeply committed to ensuring her patients feel heard, valued, and confident in their care.
Chelsea cherishes spending time with her husband, friends, and family outside of her professional life. A lover of life’s many adventures, she enjoys travel, outdoor activities, sports, and live music.
As Chelsea embarks on this new chapter in her career, she looks forward to using her skills and passion to help individuals achieve their aesthetic goals and, in turn, bolster their confidence and comfort in their skin.
Lindsay Belden, NP
Lindsay is a Board-Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Since 2011, she has trained under a Board-Certified Dermatologist, gaining advanced certifications in medical and aesthetic procedures. Her expertise spans energy-based technologies, aesthetic injectables, and dermatologic conditions such as rosacea, acne, and pigmentation disorders. Patients value her deep knowledge and compassionate care. Outside the clinic, Lindsay enjoys mountain getaways, international travel, and time outdoors with her boyfriend and two black cats, Zane and Rainn.
Jamie, Licensed Aesthetician
Jamie earned her aesthetician license in 2017 upon completing the esthetics program at Central Carolina Community College. Her passion spans all aspects of skin care, and she is committed to delivering exceptional customer service. Among her favorite services to perform are microneedling, all forms of facials, including her top choice, DiamondGlow®, and laser hair reduction. When she’s not with her new friends at Azura, she enjoys spending time with her daughter. Jamie loves to cook, and her favorite place to relax is the beach.
Tracy, Licensed Aesthetician
Tracy is joining Azura with over 20 years of experience helping clients achieve healthy, radiant skin through personalized care and advanced medical aesthetic treatments. She combines proven technology with a gentle, professional touch—from high-end lasers to medical-grade skin care—to deliver results that boost confidence and enhance natural beauty.
Bringing her expertise to Azura, Tracy is dedicated to creating a welcoming space where every client feels cared for, understood, and glowing inside and out.

Tiffany, Medical Assistant and Certified Phlebotomist
“Just a New York girl in a North Carolina world,” Tiffany is our Medical Assistant and certified Phlebotomist. Originally from Long Island, NY, she has called North Carolina her home since moving here with her longtime boyfriend in 2012.
Tiffany has over 15 years of experience in the medical field and took a break to pursue her career in radio and television. Her love of being in front of the camera gives her the confidence and warmth to greet people and help them with their skin care needs.
Outside of Azura, Tiffany loves fashion, music, and professional sports, especially baseball, even though she’s a girly girl. When she is not at Azura, Tiffany enjoys experiencing new things, seeing new places, traveling the world to see New Kids on the Block, and getting the most out of life.
Amy, Lead Spa Coordinator
A “true Southern Belle,” Amy has been a North Carolinian her entire life, spending every summer in Tennessee with her dad during her teenage years. Amy joins Azura with over 15 years of experience in healthcare. After graduating from college, she was a Paralegal in family law. Still, she decided to switch careers and found true happiness in assisting clients with their healthcare needs, and she has enjoyed every minute since 2007.
After being a client of Azura’s for the last five years, her passion for skin care grew, and she decided to take another leap and join the Azura family. Her warm smile and welcoming hospitality at our front desk will make you feel at home as she did. Outside of Azura, Amy enjoys being in nature, hiking, taking adventures, and traveling, making tons of memories with her husband Kevin, four amazing kids, and four-month-old granddaughter.
Meredith, Spa Coordinator
Meredith graduated from North Carolina State University in May 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, concentrating in Human Biology, and a minor in Genetics. She is currently completing her Master’s degree in Physiology at NC State and is expected to graduate in May 2026.
Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Meredith enjoys traveling, exploring new food spots, staying active, and spending quality time with her dog, Scarlett. Her outgoing personality and passion for skin care makes her a valued member of the Azura team.
Costanza, Spa Coordinator and Licensed Aesthetician
Costanza is a licensed aesthetician who brings an inside-out approach to beauty and wellness. She completed her aesthetics education at Paul Mitchell in Texas in 2024, where she developed a strong foundation in skin health and personalized client care. Costanza is passionate about helping others feel confident, comfortable, and glowing in their own skin.
Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Costanza is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing her to connect easily with a diverse client community. In addition to her work in aesthetics, she is a registered yoga instructor. She strongly believes in a holistic, balanced approach to wellness—supporting skin health by nurturing the body from within.
Outside of the spa, Costanza enjoys traveling, exploring new cultures, and continuing to learn in all areas of health and wellness.
