Does your child or adolescent suffer from skin conditions such as acne, eczema, nail defects, hair disorders, or pigmentation disorders? We went live on Facebook with our new neighbor, Dr. Craig Burkhart From Burkhart Pediatric and Adolescent Dermatology, on Tuesday, April 28. Don’t worry if you missed it, you can check it out below.
In the video, Jennie and Dr. Burkhart talk about what acne is, what causes it to flare up, what are some effective treatments, Accutane Oral, if benzoyl peroxide is a good idea or not, and what to do when you have tried lots of over-the-counter treatments and acne is still not going away.
In addition to diving into ways to treat acne, Dr. Burkhart talks about eczema treatments and other skin conditions.
Dr. Burkhart is able to start seeing patients as young as two months old. It is important to bring your child in early if you think that they have a skin condition that will require treatment. While we are on the topic of treatments, you should start putting sunscreen on your child at six months of age and keep them covered when outside before then.
Watch the video to get the full scoop from Jennie and Dr. Burkhart.
