For nearly a decade, our BOO-TOX tradition has benefited WWCM, and this year is even more meaningful. In July 2025, Dorcas Ministries and Western Wake Crisis Ministry united after months of thoughtful planning and collaboration. Together, they now serve neighbors across Western and most of Southern Wake County with greater strength, efficiency, and impact than ever before.
From Wednesday, Oct. 1, through Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, bring a minimum of five in-date cans of food or non-perishable items (expired items will NOT count) OR donate $20 in-office to unlock these spook-tacular savings! 🎃

Don’t feel like bringing your items with you? You can also donate online and bring us proof of an online donation of $20 or more.
🗓 Special valid for purchase Wednesday, Oct. 1, through Friday, Oct. 31, 2025—no exceptions or extensions. You may prepay for units during October 2025 to use anytime within the next three months. This discount is subject to appointment availability.

When shopping for cans, here are a few items that they are in most need of:
- 24-oz Vegetable oil
- Canned fruit
- Canned peas
- Canned mixed vegetables
- Canned beans
- Instant potatoes and stuffing
- 2lb. Bag of sugar
- 2lb. Bag of masa
- Size 4,5,6 Diapers
- Dry dog food and wet cat food
- Feminine pads
Here are some items they can always use:
- Boxed pasta
- Laundry detergent
- 2lb. bag of flour
- Syrup
- Jiffy cornbread mix
- Condiments
- Pet food (canned food and bag food for cats and dogs)
- Shelf-stable milk (non-perishable)
- Peanut butter and jelly
- Hot cereal (oatmeal, grits, etc.)
- Pancake mix and syrup
- Cereal
- Brown rice (1lb bags)
- Dry beans (1lb bags)
- Canned pasta
- Crackers
- Snacks (granola bars, nuts, dried fruit, snack-size chips, cereal bars, lance crackers)
- Instant potatoes and stuffing
- Cooking oil
- Dish soap
- Baby wipes
- Tampons and pads
- Shampoo, conditioner, lotion

In July 2025, Dorcas Ministries and Western Wake Crisis Ministry came together as one organization after months of thoughtful planning and collaboration. The merger ensures that neighbors across Western and most of Southern Wake County will be served with even greater strength and efficiency.
In past years, this event has supported Western Wake Crisis Ministry. With the merger now complete, all efforts will support the unified Dorcas Ministries, extending the impact even further. Together, this combined organization is truly better together, and the future holds tremendous promise for the neighbors who rely on these essential services.
