We love seeing our clients results, especially when they are willing to document the process and share it with us. Recently one of our gorgeous clients had our Halo™ treatment done and she kept a diary of how things went. Keep reading to see her results and what the process was like for her.
Before Halo
Before the treatment, she suffered from age spots and sun damage, even though she wore sunscreen every day!
The Day of the Treatment
We prepped her face with numbing cream, then had her wait for 45 minutes. From there, our client kept a diary for the next six days and recorded her experience.
From Her Diary…
I got BBL (Broadband Light) on my cheekbones and the sides of my face. The red light was super bright and felt like a rubber band snapping on my face even though it was numb.
I had the Halo procedure done all over face and neck. The white light was not bad and I did not feel any pain. My face started getting a little hot when she (Jennie) started on the other side. My neck was definitely more sensitive to the treatment, but I still did not feel any pain, just heat. The cold air hose they used after the procedure definitely helped.
At Home After the Treatment
My skin was super hot and red, so I took two Tylenol and ate frozen blueberries. My neck is where I felt the most heat, but that subsided after an hour. Before bed, I slathered my face in Stratacel and took a Benadryl. I tried to sleep on my back with my head elevated, so I didn’t sleep very well. However, I still felt no pain.
Day One Post Treatment
I woke up a little puffy around my eyes, but no real swelling. My skin was still pink and looked like my freckles were magnified! It truly looked like I was at the beach too long without sunscreen. Today I put more Stratacel on my face and stayed inside mostly. Before bed, I washed my face with Cetaphil, took one Benadryl and coated my face and neck in Cetaphil face cream.
Day Two
My skin is dry and a little itchy with mends all over. I put on Cetaphil cleanser in the morning and evening plus lots of sunscreen during the day. I did not put on makeup. My face is feeling flaky and rough due to the mends.
Day Three
My skin is very dry and I have mends all over. My neckbands are still very pink.
Day Four
My skin is flaking and the mends are sloughing off.
Day Five
Mends, mends, mends.
Day Six
My skin is feeling much smoother and the mends are almost all gone.
“The Halo procedure was so much better than expected.”
I was worried about swelling and pain, but the procedure was so easy. I think the worst part was trying to sleep on my back. Also, I was worried about how bad the mends would look and the flaking, but it really just looked like my freckles were more pronounced. My post-care routine was: Cetaphil face wash morning & night (washed with lukewarm water, no washcloth or brush), Cetaphil face cream morning and night, lots of sunscreen, no makeup and, NO picking at the mends! I honestly love the way my skin looks and feels now and SUPER happy I did my neck at the same time!
